A sentence stem is a journal process using the beginning of a sentence. In this book, there are two ways to use a sentence stem. One way is to just finish the sentence. There may be several sentences and doing this quickly, without thinking can provide you with surprising information. You can also take your journal and complete the sentence, writing for 10 – 20 minutes. At first you may be resistant, but stay with the process. It works! When working with a sentence stem, rather than writing from your head, you tap into the deeper subconscious and may bring up parts of yourself you have not consciously encountered before. You are so much more than your conscious mind and you have access to you, which is vaster than you can imagine. You may want to have a fast writing pen so you can write quickly and not think too much. Just let your stream of thoughts go onto the page. You may prefer to type and this works as well.
