Too often lately the main issue underneath whatever is going on with my clients is tied to Depletion!
Women often fill in the gaps for others in their life, leaving them depleted and barely able to function.

You can empower yourself by taking time to rest, play and ponder. Allow others in your life the necessary discomfort they need to empower themselves!

That was me long ago and now on mission to help other women see for themselves how they can be their best friend and deserve to receive all that is good.

I imagine Teresa that you help a lot of women out of this behavior and into thriving in their lives!

“Allow others in your life the necessary discomfort they need to empower themselves!” – what a great statement, Candess. We women often fall into the trap of over nurturing and over giving. It not only depletes us but denies those we are caring for the chance to find their own power and independence.

This is timing. My husband and I were just talking about this topic today. He was saying he can only do so much for his mother as he has his own life to take care of. Can’t argue with him because I could understand how he has actually progressed in giving more.
Candess Campbell says
As we age our perception narrows and it is like having blinders on. It is helpful to engage the elderly in the community so they don’t become isolated. Hopefully by the time we reach that age, we will have established routines were we are accustomed to. Thanks for sharing Lorii.

So, so true! I have the “Wolves” book — what a great reminder to reread it. As I tell people, you cannot pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first!

Love that saying Jackie. Haven’t heard it before, but I’ll use it now!
