In the next few weeks I will be providing you with some videos of tools that can help keep you in balance and hopefully feeling vital and alive! I created this quick video on my day off to send a client in Asia so that she can help her dog who had some hip issues. This is a good practice to help your dog’s energy stay clear. Didn’t expect to put this online so the sound is low. Adjust your speakers! #EnergyMedicineDNA
Spiritualism and Psychic Readings
Saturday Chet Caskey and I facilitated an event at the Haunted D. C. Corbin Mansion in Spokane, Washington.
Chet Caskey is a historian and a Ghostologist. He has written several books and I have been blessed to work with him on the book Spooky Spokane: The Killers, Ghosts and Dark History of the City.
What happens at a Spiritualism and Psychic Reading Event?
As Chet introduced me, I was sensing the energy of the room and setting up energetic protection. This is done with a group of Ascended Masters that assist me, or more accurately, with whom I work. This loving group has guided me since I was young, but it was not until I was older that I began to understand who they were and my commitment to work on this level of my being.
In the front of the room as I began to share, I sensed someone in a lot of pain and stated this. I shared with the group that I would be happy to read them. I offered to answer questions about their job, relationship, whether to move or not and such. I also shared I could connect with a loved on the other side. I let them know if they didn’t have a question I could read one of their chakras.
Chakras are energy centers in your body that are about the size of your fist. They contain all the information related to You! I test to see which chakra needs the most attention and read and clear that chakra.
I could tell those in the audience who have had readings before and were comfortable with a psychic reading. They raise their hands ready with a request. In fact the pain I was feeling in the room belonged to my first participant. She had a family member whose energy she could feel around her and sensed this person was stuck. I check it and saw the same. I moved the energy over to the other side and she validated that she felt it happen.

Other participants asked questions or offered up their energy field for me to choose a chakra and give them information. What I love about this is I answer their question or offer guidance that may sound vague to someone else. What I know is that I am clear in my answer, but the participant is allowed some privacy by the way I speak and I see their face change immediately in accepting the information.
I connected some of the participants with their loved ones and taught them how to do this in the future. I also read and cleared chakras and moved stuck energy using my voice for sound healing.
There was one man in the audience who appeared uncomfortable and at one point went outside for a few minutes. A while after he came back in, I invited him to share. He said “I am a skeptic.” I engaged him in dialogue because I wanted him to feel safe and honor his feelings. I clarified some of my beliefs as he asked, but mostly I hope I modeled what it is like to communicate with someone who has different beliefs. I heard him, validated his listening to himself over others and didn’t take anything he believed about what I do personally.
After the readings, Chet Caskey reenacts an amazing Séance in the adjoining room. He brings alive the history of the Mansion and the spiritualists in Spokane, Washington, which has an amazing history of psychics!
We all have the ability to sense beyond our five senses. Generally you lose this ability when you are young because your family doesn’t validate it and may even tease you or make you “stop making up stories.” If you don’t give up this powerful ability as a child, your peers may tease you. You just stop listening to your intuition. I think this is often where low self-esteem can creep in. When you don’t trust yourself, believe in yourself and stand in your truth, it is easy to start distrusting yourself. As a mental health counselor I have seen this for many years.
As woo-woo the work I do is . . . Intuition is really simple and practical. Self-reflection is necessary and it takes some time to develop your abilities, but it will serve you well.
The Four Ways to Access your Intuition are listed below. With your journal you can increase your intuition. Begin to note what you notice and take notes in your journal. At the end of the week, look over what you have written and summarize your experience. This is a simple and rewarding process.
Clairsentience or “clear feeling”
Clairsentience comes from your feelings and physical sensations. When you begin to develop this sense, it is important to slow down and notice how you feel in certain situations.
Claircognizance or “clear knowing”
When you find you just know something, but cannot explain why, this can be claircognizance.
Clairaudience or “clear hearing”
Clairaudience is when you hear information. These voices can be from different sources within.
Clairvoyance or “clear seeing”
With clairvoyance you may see images and understand the meaning of these visions.
You can also find 4 Ways to Develop your Clairvoyance on my website. This PDF gives you several examples to practice.
Chet Caskey and I will have another Event – An Evening of Spiritualism and Psychic Readings on April 14, 2018!

Seven Steps to Intuitive Healing
Don’t try to comprehend with your mind. Your minds are very limited.
Use your intuition.
Madeleine L’Engle, A Wrinkle in Time
When you hear the words intuitive healing, what comes to mind? Many people are searching today for information, healing, and guidance. As an intuitive healer and reader, I enjoy helping my clients by giving them quick information to help them make decisions and solve problems. My focus is empowering others and I also love to guide them to use their own intuitive abilities.
Intuitive healing can happen on many levels. You can receive a healing on a spiritual, mental, emotional or physical level. These levels are all related, but illness begins in the etheric field (the energetic field around the body) before it happens on the physical level. Therefore it is important to take steps to heal on all levels.
Intuitive healing has a deep connection to the heart. You have a gentle, loving voice inside that guides you. This voice is a quiet voice and does not fight with or try to overcome the voice of the ego or the other voices within. Often we carry within a voice of a parent or authority figure. In psychology this is called an interject. It is important to discern between the voice that is coming from your intuition and the others.
Some refer to this inner voice as their Higher Self, their Guardian Angel, their Internal Coach or many other names. Whatever you call it is fine. Just know you are a reflection of the Divine and this voice is your connection to your own Divine Light. This Intuitive Voice is quiet and it guides you in many ways. It can also work with your intellectual or analytic mind when you are able to calm the constant mind chatter. The Intuitive Voice has access to Oneness and when you learn to hear and understand, you will begin to feel peace.
There are several ways to begin to hear your Intuitive Voice and to heal yourself on many levels.
Step 1. Be Still
Take time several times a day to stop and close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Scan your body from the top of your head down to your toes and just notice. Pay attention to any sensations and just notice. Be present in your body. Your body feels safe and you heal when you are consciously present in your body.
Step 2. Allow Yourself to Fall into Trance
You have a natural ability to heal and come into balance when you allow yourself to fall into trance. Just as when you dream, you have “ultradian rhythms” while you are awake. You may notice yourself falling into trance when you are at a stop sign or when you are washing dishes. This daydreaming or spacing out regulates your mind and body and allows you to access your Intuitive Voice without effort. Honor the natural rhythm of your body. This is a vital part of self-healing.

Step 3. Notice Your Beliefs and Self-talk
Your beliefs are attitudes, viewpoints, ideas, thoughts, values, perceptions and more. They are not the truth, but how you organize your view to make sense of the world and give it meaning. Notice your beliefs and what beliefs hold you back from having your desired life. Notice your self-talk. When your self-talk and beliefs are negative your whole mind/body/spirit responds with a loss of energy and you attract to yourself negative life experiences. You can increase positive beliefs and self-talk and allow yourself to be more open to hearing your Intuitive Voice and receiving healing on all levels.
Step 4. Listen with Your Body
Your body is an incredible intuitive receiver. In order to heal fully and receive intuitive messages, you need to be awareness of and listen within. Your intuition can come through images, dreams, sounds, gut feelings, a sense of knowing, hearing or sensing. In the beginning, it is common to receive messages through your gut feeling. Once this happens ask yourself “what does this mean?” You may or may not get an answer, but it is important to use your gut as a tool. If you begin to do something and your gut alerts you, know it has to do with what you were doing or thinking. Last week I was going to go downtown Spokane and have dinner, a movie and listen to a friend play music. As I began to get ready I felt a sense of alertness and I heard a voice inside my head saying the word “alarm!” I had no idea what was happening, but the sense of alarm would not stop. Having had many experiences with my intuition, I knew to listen. I made the decision to stay home that night and the alarm ceased. Now, I could try to guess at what might have happened, but instead, I just affirmed myself for listening and went on. The more you listen to your Intuitive Voice, the more it shows up for you and the easier it is to hear.
Step 5: Access Your Self-Healing Energy
We all have subtle energy around us and we can use this energy to heal. Have you ever stubbed your toe and noticed when you put your hand on your toe it felt better. When you have been in pain has the healing touch of a loved one made a difference. You have this natural healing energy within you and you are a powerful healer. Tap into your body’s subtle energy and feel the energy in your hands when you put them on a loved one. You are surrounded by a colorful energy field that comes from the chakras in the center of your body. Take a moment to rub your hands together and then put them together palm to palm. Pull them away from each other gently and feel the powerful energy you have in your hands. This is your healing energy. The more you use it, the stronger it becomes.
Step 6: Practice Accessing Your Intuition
The best ways to access your intuition are through Meditation and through Viewing. With meditation you are able to quiet your mind and allow your Intuitive Voice to come through. This can happen either during the meditation or you can journal for a few minutes afterward and just let your intuition come through. Another way is to View. Viewing can be by being in your heart or the center of your head and imaging a white screen. On the screen allow yourself to see images and when they appear you can ask what they mean and just receive. You can also use Remote Viewing where you close your eyes and you can move through time and space. You can go into the past, the present or into the future. With remote viewing you can see someone at a great distance. This is often used by medical intuitives to help diagnose illness.
Step 7: Listen to Your Dreams
Your dreams are the place of Intuition. You receive symbolic images, messages and gain ideas and receive answers to your questions. You have access to the whole collective unconscious. Whether you remember them or not, you have between seven to nine dreams per night. This is during the REM state, where you have access to information and healing you cannot access in the daytime. Your dreams are a way that your Intuitive Self communicates with you! When you begin to honor your dreams and listen, they will show up for you more fully and guide you. There are many guides to dream work, and what I recommend is Realities of the Dreaming Mind by Sivananda Swami Radha (2004). It is helpful to have paper and pen by your bed to collect your dreams as soon as you awake. They tend to fly away until you train yourself to catch them.
These seven steps can help you to be guided by your Intuitive Voice and create healing on all levels of your being. You cannot increase your intuition with your mind, but can access it through your heart. You must allow it to happen through ongoing gentle practice. Use the tools daily and validate your experience of Intuitive Healing.

Who Has your Back?
When watching TV I heard “I never knew what it felt like for someone to have my back.” Now, I have heard the phrases “have your back” and “have my back” a lot recently, but the way she said it stirred up some thoughts for me. Whose back do I have and who has my back?
Friends and family are very important, but as much as we wished friends and family would be there for us in a crisis, are they truly there? Are you there for your friends and your family?
In my practice as a mental health counselor, intuitive coach and psychic medium, I often talk with clients about two situations in their life. One is asking for what they need and the other is about setting boundaries. I will discuss boundaries in a later writing.
Healthy relationships are relationships where there is a healthy exchange of energy. When one person does it all, carries all the weight, eventually this person will become resentful or lose their power and become ill.
When one takes and takes without giving back, eventually people around them either leave the relationship or the one who takes without giving back ends up suffering from low self-esteem. This could be masked by an arrogant or narcissistic attitude, but nevertheless, when they are alone, they do not feel good about themselves. They begin to focus externally on what they own, what they have and what they do. Then somehow who they are gets lost.
This spring as you get out more, think about your relationships and whether they are balanced or not. William Glasser says we all have four basic needs. They are for Power and Worth, Love and Belonging, Freedom and Fun. Take some time to write out a list of your friends and your family. Next to each name write out on a scale from one to ten with ten being the most fulfilled, how much does this relationship satisfy your need for Power and Worth, Love and Belonging, Freedom and Fun?
You may even want to talk with your loved ones and see how much you satisfy their needs in this area as well. Is it possible that you spend most of your time talking and complaining and not listening to them at all?
When you are involved in a healthy relationship you can ask for what you need from the other person. If they are not able to meet this need, they can say so and you are free to get your need met elsewhere. You are able to depend on them to be there for you when they can. At times friends and family choose to do things they do not want to do because they love you and support you. It is essential they can also say no when they do not want to do what you ask.

It is common for women in particular to do what they don’t want to do because they are afraid of losing a friend or lover. And it is true this may happen. But if this is the case, it is important to re-evaluate the relationship. Is fear the motivating factor in your relationship?
This issue is important to me at this time in my life. As I look back over the last few years, I realize that my push to get my doctorate, publish my books and carry on a full-time private practice, left me depleted and I had very little time or energy for my friends. I realized how important self-care is not only to me, but my commitment to take care of myself affects my friends as well.
Do you have a friend in your life that takes on too much, is always pushing the envelope, or living within the margins as I wrote in an earlier blog. Could this be the way you are living your life?
Evaluate your friendships and family relationships and see what you can do to move them into balance. If you give too much, allow yourself to pull back and give to yourself, time and space. If you find you have been selfish and not given to friends at all, allow yourself to “get out of yourself” and give to those you love.

Healing Hands
Richard Gerber shares in his book Vibrational Medicine, “Laying-on-of-hands healing has been practiced throughout the world for thousands of years. In the late 1700s, Franz Mesmer theorized that subtle life energy of a magnetic nature was exchanged between healer and patient during laying-on-of-hands. Mesmer also discovered that water could effectively store this subtle force for transfer to sick patients in need of healing.”
When teaching Reiki healing for many years, I told my students that we all have the ability to heal. Many clients experienced their own ability to feel energy and heal themselves as well as others in this process.
An illustration of this principle involved a client of mine with cancer who was in the hospital preparing for surgery. I asked my students to meet me there and use Reiki to help calm her and assist in the healing process. When the doctors located a blood clot and could not operate, I invited my students, as well as the client’s mother and sister, to assist me in laying hands on the client. After talking with the nurse in charge, I understood the clot needed to dissolve before they could operate. We all imaged this as we did the healing. A period of a half hour or so went by, and when I felt an immediate sense that the healing was complete, I asked the nurse to check again. They did, and the clot was gone. The client was subsequently able to receive the needed surgery, the mother and sister of the patient were able to be helpful, and my students’ confidence in their healing ability increased. It was a glorious day!
We are all connected to the Source, and we all have the ability to channel this love. You can begin by just placing your hands on your loved ones and begin to feel your own ability to heal. You can also practice on your pets. They love it. Well, cats sometimes won’t allow the healing energy unless they are ill, but you can try. Take time in the evening and rub your hands together and place them over your face and just breath. You’ll be amazed!
