Spokane RiverSpokane River

August 1st: Saturn turns direct in Scorpio at 10:53 pm PDT. Stoic Saturn steps forward in Scorpio at 28 deg 16 min after four months in retrograde. Saturn will complete in Scorpio when it reenters the sign of Sagittarius on September 17th.

August 8th: Mars enters Leo at 4:33 pm PDT.  Fiery Mars makes a grand entrance through the Lion’s Gate of Leo celebrating the half way point of the summer season.

August 11th: Jupiter enters Virgo at 4:13 am PDT. The largest planet in our Solar System departs from the sign of Leo and returns to Virgo for the first time in 12 years. While in the sign of Virgo the planet Jupiter lends its gravitas to emphasizing health, precision, wellness, service, work & vocations for the next 13 months.

October 2014 Astrological Forecast

October 1, 2014 by @candesscampbell

Astrology is assured of recognition from psychology, without further restrictions, because astrology represents the summation of all the psychological knowledge of antiquity.

October 4th: Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio.  The messenger planet reverses direction as it begins its third and final retrograde cycle of 2014 in the sign of Scorpio at 2 degrees for the next 3 weeks. October 8th: Total Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Aries/Libra.  The second of two Total Lunar Eclipses in 2014 mirrors the qualities of last April’s Total Lunar Eclipse in Libra/Aries.  2014 is an “initiatory” year of completions and new beginnings with a strong emphasis of planetary aspects in the cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Those with cardinal angles or planets near 15 degrees in the signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn will  be more affected by this eclipse.

October 23rd: Partial Solar Eclipse New Moon in Scorpio.  The Sun, Moon, and Venus arrive in the sign of Scorpio on the same day to combine their energies within one half of a single degree of longitude in the very first degree of Scorpio at the exact time of a Partial Solar Eclipse in Scorpio. The synergy of the Sun, Moon, and Venus conjoining each other so closely in a Solar Eclipse is a very rare event that could produce fortunate new beginnings for those who consciously sow seeds of new commitments and intentions.

October 25th: Mercury stations direct in Libra.  Mercury steps forward in the relationship sign of Libra at 17 degrees after three weeks in retrograde. Mercury will partner with the Moon’s North Node in Libra to accent détente, fair play, and diplomacy versus hidden agendas during the November 4th elections in the United States. October 26th: Mars enters Capricorn. Transiting Mars arrives in the sign of institutional authority forming harmonious aspects to the Sun & Venus in Scorpio, and Neptune in Pisces which augurs well for a Happy Halloween.

Are you a Pack Animal?

September 25, 2014 by @candesscampbell

I believe it’s our loss of connection with our instinctual side that prevents us from being effective pack leaders for our dogs. Perhaps it’s also why we also seem to be failing at being positive guardians of our planet.

 Cesar Millan

There have been big changes in my life the last couple months. One of the decisions I made was to shift from my mental health/chemical dependency counseling practice, to being a full time Author, Speaker, and Intuitive Success Coach by the end of 2015. I have been split between the somewhat mainstream candesscampbell.com and the woo-woo energymedicinedna.com selves/sites.

2 (1)Having moved into greater health by changing what I eat, exercising more and taking better care of myself, I realized the undercurrent to my health challenge has been stress. Now this is not new news, as you know, because I write about my adrenal fatigue in my book 12 Weeks to Self-Healing: Transforming Pain through Energy Medicine.

What I realized though is that working as a therapist for over 30 years and not being able to be friends with my clients, although many I would have enjoyed, I have been isolated. There are necessary, but strict boundaries around relationships between therapists and clients. Although I honor this, spending so many hours with clients has left me feeling somewhat sequestered.

I love my work and I spend much of my time serving others. Now, as I increase my focus as an Author, Speaker and Intuitive Success Coach as well as my other spiritual services, I can teach, mentor, support and receive as well.

Last night I taught the Intuitive Souls Chakra Journal Class. The students learned to psychically read their own chakra. Then we journaled from sentence stems I created relating to Chakra One – The Power of Survival.

Domingo

Domingo

Domingo my Cairn terrier mix, was sitting under foot of one of the participants. Someone asked, “What is that noise?” Another woman responded, “It’s fireworks, that is the finale.” I looked at Domingo who by now would be shaking so bad I would be afraid he would have a heart attack. I would be running for the doggy downers. But strangely, he just looked around and was fine. He was sitting in the circle of powerful, loving women. When I shared the story earlier today, I realized that he felt safe because he was a pack animal. We were his pack!

You know what? I think I am a pack animal too! It feels great to be one of the tribe! By the way, being part of a tribe is part of Chakra One!

If you would like to journal with my Journal Process here are some sentence stems to use.

The memory that haunts me from childhood is . . .

The part of me I have compromised the most is my . . .

I need others most when . . .

What comforts me the most is . . .

May 2014 Astrological Forecast

May 6, 2014 by @candesscampbell

May 2014 Astrological Forecast

http://www.stillwatersastro.com

stillwaters_image-209x179

May 2nd: Venus enters Aries.  Lady Venus arrives in the aggressive cardinal fire sign of Aries in pursuit of spring romance. As she strolls through each degree of Aries between now and May 28th she will certainly have no shortage of suitors to choose from.

May 7th: Mercury enters Gemini. The messenger planet celebrates a spring homecoming in its own sign of Gemini.  The greatest quandary of Mercury in Gemini is who or what to choose and how long might it last until mercurial Mercury becomes bored and decides to move on?

May 14th: Full Moon in Scorpio/Taurus. The annual Wesak Full Moon of Buddha consciousness reaches it zenith at 12:16 pm PDT. Those with planets or chart angles between 20 to 30 degrees in the fixed signs of Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius, or Leo are likely to experience a completion or change of direction in their lives.

May 19th: Mars turns direct in Libra. Mars steps forward in the sign of Libra for the first time since it retrograded on March 1st.  The past eleven weeks in retrograde have served Mars well, as the warrior planet secured its coveted seat in April’s Cardinal Grand Cross.

May 20th: The Sun enters Gemini. The Sun’s arrival in the mutable air sign of Gemini ushers in the final month of this spring season preparing the way for the arrival of summer on the June 21st Solstice.

May 28th: New Moon in Gemini and Venus enters Taurus. Today’s New Moon in Gemini harmonizes with Mars in Libra while activating mystical Neptune in Pisces.  Perhaps we will receive some clues as to what the first nine weeks of this spring season represented to each of us as summer approaches. In the meantime, Venus arrives in Taurus returning to earth after a passionate spring fling in the sign of Aries.

May 29th: Mercury enters Cancer. Mercury crosses the finish line of its annual homecoming in Gemini to immerse itself in the foreign oceanic depths of Cancer where it will retrograde on June 7th as it pivots to retrace its steps back to its native sign of Gemini on June 17th.  Ambidextrous Mercury thrives on juggling and testing itself with each of the twelve signs, and it will turn on a dime leaving both its team mates and opponents wondering how Mercury was ever admitted to play in the celestial sports court in the first place.

 Stay tuned for June’s forecast!
