Athena – Connecting with your Guides

April 4, 2017 by @candesscampbell

This week we will focus on the Ascended Master Athena as we continue the incredible experience of Connecting with your Guides!  One way to connect with a guide is to create a Virtual Reality where you can transport yourself to be with them in their time. For instance with Athena you can look at some photos of Athena and of the Island of Crete. To create the Virtual Reality, relax, close your eyes and take a deep breath from your deep belly. Image yourself with Athena at a particular time and and let your mind wander as you imagine what she may be doing, what her environment presents to her and what she may be thinking or feeling. Sense her. If you want to connect with a loved one who has passed on you can do the same with them. In that case you can add a lot more detail and use all the scenes.

The Ascended Masters Lords of Karma are a group of spiritually enlightened beings, once mere mortals, who have undergone a process of spiritual transformation. They gained mastery over the limitations of the matter planes (state of consciousness that transcends the known physical universe), balanced at least 51% of negative Karma and fulfilled their Dharma or divine plan. An Ascended Master has become God-like and a source of unconditional Divine Love to all life, and through Ascension (spiritual enlightenment) has united with his or her own “God-Self”, the I AM Presence. They serve as teachers of mankind from the realms of Spirit and stand ready to assist them in their Ascension.

Pallas Athena, the Goddess of Truth, is a tremendous being of light who ensouls the cosmic consciousness of Truth. Her presence in the universe is the exaltation of the flame of living Truth. This truth she holds on behalf of the evolutions of earth as a member Karmic Board, where she serves as the representative on the fifth ray of truth, healing, supply and precipitation. She ministers to mankind from the Temple of Truth above the Island of Crete. Serving directly under Vesta, the Sun Goddess, she focuses the truth of God’s love to the earth. Pallas Athena also works with Hilarion, the chohan of the fifth ray, and other healing and green‑ray masters.

Pallas Athena is one of the most important deities in Greek mythology, and in Roman mythology, she is identified as Minerva. Her influence spans everything from the administration of government and militaristic pursuits to the delicate arts of spinning and weaving. She is seen as the very personification of wisdom who presides over the intellectual and moral side of human life. The “Spear of Truth” symbol of Athena was used by a secret society of seekers of Truth in England, of which Francis Bacon was a member. Bacon, the final embodiment of beloved Saint Germain, used the name “Shake – spear” as a pseudonym when writing the Shakespearean plays, indicating that he was “shaking” the “Spear of Truth” at human ignorance.

Sananda – The Risen Jesus

March 28, 2017 by @candesscampbell

This week, the guide I would like to introduce you to is Jesus Christ. He is known as Sananda in the inner planes. He is the Master of the sixth ray, the ray of abstract idealism and devotion, which is indigo. During His incarnation as Jesus, he was a high priest in the order of Melchizedek and was overshadowed during His life by Lord Maitreya. He also had lives as Adam, Enoch, Jeshua, Joshua, Elijah and Joseph of Egypt. He works with Archangel Uriel to bring peace, brotherhood, service and freedom to people. Many missionaries, lawyers, public servants, social workers, blue collar workers, farmers and business people are on this ray.

Sananda is the risen name (spiritual identity) of the physical human known as Jesus of Nazareth. The spiritual mentor who ensures that, ultimately, our evolutionary path and spiritual growth is sustained in accordance with our souls’ highest spiritual aims. To do so, his energy is in contact with each of us at all times, guiding us from the higher realms to embrace self loving choices and actions in our daily lives and improve our understanding and practice of Unconditional Love. This beloved master has showed humanity that death can be overcome and that love, forgiveness and compassion are our true nature. “What I have done you can do and more.” Like all great masters Jesus did not come to be worshiped, he came to teach humanity how to become Christ like.

In another blog I will share a powerful experience I had with Jesus when I had a house fire in the 1980’s. Now though, let’s focus on connecting with your Guides using your Intuition. Today we focus on Clairsentience. In the coming weeks, I’ll teach about Clairaudience, Claircognizance and Clairvoyance.

Clairsentience comes from your feelings and physical sensations. When you begin to develop this sense, it is important to slow down and notice how you feel in certain situations.

This sense can often show up as a “gut feeling.” Think of times when you had this feeling and didn’t listen. That will help you when you get a gut hit again. You will be more likely to tap in and listen. This will help you to develop it even more!

You can ask your guide to give you signs they are present. You may also ask that a loved one who has passed over to connect with you.

You may notice a familiar scent worn by a loved one or smell fire or flowers when there is none around. You may feel your hair being stroked or feel like you are being surrounded by a hug. You could sense someone sitting next to you and feel comforted.

It may be helpful to keep a journal of your senses and become more aware of what information you pick up. Don’t doubt yourself. Just notice it and make a note in your journal.

As you practice connecting with your guides, your mind will quiet and you will begin to sense on another level. Afterward take notes in your journal or do free writing. Since we are focusing on Clairsentience the Soul Stems for this week are :

What I want to sense from my guide is . . .

When I sense my guide around me, I am motivated to . . .

I resist sensing my guide by . . .

My compassion for myself will increase when . . .
In the next few weeks I will continue sending you information about the Lords of Karma – the group of guides that I have worked with most of my life. You can explore and practice connecting with them and see who shows up for you as you show up for them!

Clairaudience – Connecting with a Loved One

January 18, 2017 by @candesscampbell

One of the four ways to develop your Intuition is Clairaudience. This is when you hear information from your Higher Self, Guides, Angels or a Loved One who passed over.  According to Doreen Virtue, these voices can be from different sources. When you hear information, ask who is talking to you.  Information from God/Divine Spirit is loud and to the point.  It is friendly, casual and with modern language. Archangels are also loud and to the point, but are more formal and direct.  They often talk about getting on track with your goals and not being fearful or doubting yourself.  Angels are also formal and direct.

When you talk with deceased loved ones, they sound the way they did when they were physically alive. When I connect others with their loved ones during a psychic medium reading, I first see the person’s personality and how they were when they were incarnated. Then I sense them as they are in Spirit. Connecting with your loved one on the other side can resolve unfinished business and give you comfort.

I’m blessed to communicate often with my family who passed over. I remember when my granddaughter Noel was young and I was thinking, “I wish my mom could see her.” Then I heard Mom say “honey, I’m here and I can see her.”  She went on to share how special she thought Noel was. It was amazing and comforting.

Your Higher Self sounds like your own voice and is supportive and loving.  Your ego comes across as abusive, discouraging, paranoid and depressing.  When I ask a question and am not sure if it is my ego or not, I ask, then I bring my attention up out of my crown chakra at the top of my head up into the heavens and ask again. I can usually discern between my Higher Self and my Ego.

Become aware of the voices you hear. Relax and don’t analyze. Just listen and start to identify your Higher Self from your Ego. Make notes in your journal and trust yourSelf.

Slow Down, Relax and Enjoy!

December 21, 2016 by @candesscampbell

With all the bright lights, vivid colors and melodious sounds of the holiday season, it can be easy to become robotic just trying to get things done. The holiday season is so full of textures and smells, it is a great time to pull away from your family and take some time for yourself to slow down, relax and enjoy.

With the frivolity of the holiday shopping and parties, one of my favorite ways to rest and connect with myself is through my journal. Whether I am making lists (and checking them twice), free writing to release stress, or doodling with my favorite colored pencils, it is the Sacred place where I connect with my deepest Self.

[clickToTweet tweet=”Ten minutes with your journal will renew your Spirit in the busy holiday season!” quote=”Ten minutes with your journal will renew your Spirit in the busy holiday season!“]

This is the time to review the past year and to anticipate the opportunities of the year ahead. Here are some Soul Stems to assist you in the process. You may want to look back at your journal at this time last year to see what you planned for this year.

My greatest accomplishment last year was . . .

What I started and plan to finish is . . .

 I have forgiven . . .

What excites me about the coming year is . . .

 I am grateful for . . .

The one word that will guide me in the coming year is . . .

Each year rather than making a list of resolutions, I find I do better with choosing one word to focus upon for the year. Last year I chose Allow. To become more conscious I became aware of my resistance to situations and people and eased into allowing instead. This created a lot of self-awareness and was a great experience. I haven’t settled on a word yet this year, but will use the Soul Stem “The one word that will guide me in the coming year is . . .”  a few times to become clear.

Here are some other Soul Stems to play with over the holiday season from my book Live Intuitively: Journal the Wisdom of your Soul.

Wishing you and your family

Merry Christmas

Happy Hanukkah

Happy Solstice

and Joy in whatever your Faith.

The Bully Archetype

November 16, 2016 by @candesscampbell

The creativity of your subconscious mind not only shows up in dreams, but also shows up as archetypes in your life. Archetypes are overlying patterns that show up in all cultures that are seeded in the psyche. Some examples of archetypes are mother, judge, teacher and healer. When you begin to look at these patterns in your life, you can unleash your creative energy. You can access your natural path, heal your wounds and move toward your Divine Soul purpose.

Today we will explore the Bully Archetype. This article was first written in response to a situation that I was privy to regarding a child who suffered from bullying from his father. It is apropos today as many live in fear due to the recent election in the United States. The scope of the Bully archetype is massive. There is bullying in the workplace, on college campuses, in schools and schoolyards and as seen in the news on a daily basis today, there are bullies attempting to take over countries!

When looking at the psyche and bullying, there is even the issue of bullying yourself and internally beating yourself up. There is so much about this archetype that can be explored. This article is taking a small slice of the issue and will focus on parents who bully their children. This may be a difficult topic to read about, but I think you will find it valuable.

Recently, when listening to others share stories, the topic of abusive yelling has surfaced over and over again. As an adult, if someone yelled at me, I would just walk away. Children don’t have the ability to do this. The response is generally to shut down and be quiet, to fight back, or to get revenge.

Photoshop Backup 7 577What is bullying and why do people bully? First of all there is a difference between bullying and having the bully archetype. There may be periods of time where someone uses bullying in his or her life and then learns skills to behave more appropriately. Having the bully archetype is when this tendency becomes a strong part of their personality. It becomes a pattern that directs their behavior in an attempt to dominate another person or ultimately, to control their own coward within.

Bullies often use threats or coercion to gain power over another. They will intimidate and be abusive. Sometimes the bully will use physical power to dominate, but here I want to look at the emotional abuse of bullying.

Children especially are vulnerable and parents, in an attempt to control them may use yelling and threatening. They may resort to name-calling, shaming, and other aggressive measures. The reality is, in their attempt to control the child, they are really only showing that they themselves are out of control.

So what happens to these children who are bullied at home? One response is to become quiet and withdraw. On the outside they may appear to become a well-adjusted, compliant child, but on the inside they have a mind of constant negative self-talk. This self-talk can be anger directed at their parent, but more often, it is directed at themselves. This internal abuse becomes a survival technique. In their own attempt at gaining some control they use self-abuse. In some cases this is not just abusive self-talk, but turns into using sharp objects to physically cut on themselves. This may be to release the pain they feel. They want to let it out. When they do this, they may think no one else can hurt them as much as they can hurt themselves. The parent’s response to this may be to use force to try to control the child even more. They blame the child (the victim of the bullying) rather than looking at and owning their own behavior.

[clickToTweet tweet=”Children respond to bullying in a couple of ways!” quote=”Do you have the Bully Archetype?”]

Some children become compliant and work hard so they are not abused. These children excel in school, on the football team and become the leaders in their community. They develop manipulative skills that serve them at home and in other areas of their lives. As adults these skills can go either way. They can help them catapult to the top or eventually destroy their relationships and career.

Sometimes children end up not using their full potential. They may be extremely bright, but end up with low grades. They may have mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, or behaviors such as over-eating or using drugs. Turning their fear, hurt and anger inward eats them alive. When these children become adults, these old wounds begin to surface in their relationships, their jobs, and in their health.

Another way that children survive is to rebel and fight back. What happens here is there is continual yelling, conflict and fighting between the child and the parent. It becomes a battle of the wills. The children may also run away to get away from the situation. These children often go on to bully others, including their siblings. Although they fight to gain power, ultimately the parent has the power because they control the money and the access to the child’s fun and freedom. For children, other than their need for love, their need for fun is essential. In this case the parent continues to be out of control and the child continues to suffer from emotional abuse.

Another way children respond the to bullying is to get revenge. There are several ways they do this. One is directly by breaking something of value to the parent. They may also “tell on” the parent. In this case they may tell their friends, reach out to a teacher, a neighbor, a relative or even the police. They may also share in front of others something embarrassing that the parent did. Often this is difficult for the child because, even though they are angry and feel the parent isn’t fair, they also feel at fault.

Another way they get revenge is indirectly through passive aggressive behavior. Passive aggressive behavior is a way that people express their anger, frustration or hostility indirectly. The child may not finish their chores or move really slowly when the parent is in a hurry. They could pick at something like a lampshade making small holes in it that are not noticeable to their dad. Children who underachieve may be being passive aggressive, especially if the parent has a high need for them to excel. Other passive aggressive behaviors are using sarcasm, being stubborn, or procrastinating. Whatever would get back at the parent without immediate repercussion gives them some sense of power.

So what should a child do when they have an abusive or bullying parent? It is important that they find a safe adult who can help them. As a reader of this article, I ask you to be aware of the children around you and to make sure that they know you are a safe adult. Talk to the children around you and get to know them. Build a rapport so they understand that you are someone they could trust and depend upon. You never know if the child is secretly suffering in her own home.

What if you find that you have the Bully Archetype fully active in your own life at this time? Whatever situation you find yourself in, if you find that you are yelling, name-calling, taking or breaking someone else’s belongings, or even pushing and shoving or other violence, it is important to get help!

There are so many resources for you. One I would suggest first is to find a counselor or a minister that you can confide in. Counselors will provide you with a safe place to learn how to manage your anger and to gain better control in your own life. If you have a child that is difficult to manage, a counselor can assist you with some parenting skills. What happens is the more out of control you feel, the more you try to solve the problem yourself and the less likely you are to resolve the issue. Remember the bully in you, the bully archetype is covering for the inner coward. It takes courage to reach out and get assistance. Seeing a counselor becomes a confidential place for you to share and it is the counselor’s job to listen, support, teach and provide resources for you.

Another resource in addition to counseling is to educate yourself about the problem. Search for books on dealing with your anger. The first step to changing a behavior is identifying it and owning it. You will be amazed at the relief you feel when you start to learn simple steps to shift the pattern that has taken over your life. If you find you are bullying someone, then you too are certainly bullying yourself in the process.

The Bully archetype may or may not be a significant archetypal pattern for you. If it is, remember archetypes cross cultures from the beginning of time and so you are not alone. This is a pattern that can be balanced. The positive attribute of the bully archetype is learning to become courageous. As you reflect, take notes on this and other archetypes you identify with. Notice what thoughts, feelings, and memories have surfaced for you when reading this article. Think about how others see you. Is there something you noticed that is blocking you from your Divine Soul Purpose?
